Lead Civil & Structural Engineer - Immingham | Major Engineering Projects | Competitive Salary + Package


iO Associates are proud to be working with a leading name in the UK's engineering construction sector, as they look to bring a Lead Civil & Structural Engineer on board at their Immingham office.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a senior technical lead across a wide range of projects - from tender stage through to FEED, detailed design, and construction. If you're someone who thrives on technical leadership, client interaction, and mentoring junior engineers, this could be your ideal next move.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead all civil and structural design activities across major projects

  • Approve engineering deliverables - including reports, calculations, drawings & risk assessments

  • Ensure designs meet UK and Eurocode standards, CDM regulations, and client specifications

  • Deliver design work across steelwork, reinforced concrete, foundations, temporary works, drainage and more

  • Act as a technical authority for both clients and internal stakeholders

  • Support project proposals, define scopes of work, and manage engineering budgets

What They're Looking For:


  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)

  • Chartered (CEng) or working toward chartership (IStructE/ICE)

  • 8-10 years' UK experience in design consultancy or EPC project environments

  • Strong technical knowledge of BS/EU codes and construction practices

  • Proficient in tools like AutoCAD, Tekla TEDDS, STAAD.Pro, Robot, IDEA StatiCa

  • Comfortable working across multi-disciplinary teams and client environments

  • UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
