Linux Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Linux Engineer that has demonstrable experience supporting primarily Linux and some Windows systems, you can based from home across Switzerland, office location is Zurich

Working across the enterprise applications team, who supports developers in making their software testable, deployable, scalable and operable in any infrastructure as automatically as possible. We would like to candidate to have some experience working with and across DevOps or that are willing to learn, a great development opportunity here.

Salary is 120-130CHf

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the availability of applications
• Configuration and troubleshooting of Linux & Windows systems
• Monitoring, optimization and documentation of business processes
• Creation of scripts and mechanisms based on Bash / Ansible for system automation
• Troubleshooting and rectification with the support of the manufacturer and other specialist teams
• Project work in a team
• Participation in the on-call service

Your Experience:

• Well-founded experience in the operation and administration of heterogeneous server environments
• Current Linux certificates are welcome
• Safe handling of heterogeneous infrastructures
• Very good knowledge of the operation of application servers (Tomcat, Springboot) as well as web services based on Docker, Kubernetes, Apache, Nginx and others
• Good knowledge of programming scripts based on Bash, Ansible or Python
• Knowledge of Docker, Ansible, and SQL technologies is expressly desired
• Enjoyment of new technologies and the willingness to educate yourself accordingly
• Willingness for occasional assignments outside of working hours (weekend, evening)
