ENGINEER - MULTISKILLED, ELECTRICALLY BIASED

The Role
- Maintain the reliability of processing and packing equipment using PPM and CI
- Lead the development of automation in processing
- Resolve breakdowns; investigate reasons and identify preventative improvements
- Proactively monitor and maintain processing and packing equipment
- Service processing and packing equipment to a PPM programme
- Maintain the reliability of other site plant
- Update instructions, manuals, etc
- Contribute to project management
- Proactively identify energy saving and waste reduction initiatives
You will have:
- Strong background in Dairy/Food industry
- Electrical Competency; 17th or 18th
- H&S knowledge; COSHH, PUWER, Food Hygiene
- PLC fault finding and programming (Schneider, Pro 7, Mitsubishi IEC GX Developer)
- Automated processing and packing equipment expertise (ideally, some robotics experience)
- Project Management skills
- IT skills - Office, Auto Cad, Shire CMMS
- Preventative Maintenance
- Lean and CI systems
- Good working knowledge of pneumatics
- Robust personal organisational skills
- Be a strong communicator (verbally and in writing)
- Be a team player
Working hours are based on 40 per week and flexibility is required in attendance patterns, especially during peak production times.
Engineers currently work a 4 on 4 off pattern of alternating early and late starts. There are no night shifts unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Holiday allowance of 26 days, plus 8 bank holidays (based on a 5 day week), and an employer pension contribution of 6%.
