iO Associates have partnered with a global food and drink manufacturer based in Kettering in the Search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the growing team.

It's an exciting time for the business with some recent investment in the site resulting in this new role being created to support the increased production run smoothly.

As the Maintenance Engineer you will be working on a Panama Shift pattern (days and nights, 12 hour shifts) , responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance of production equipment such as processing equipment, storage tanks, formulation equipment, steam supplies, sterilisers, filling machines and packaging lines.

You will conducting different types work such as planned and reactive work, periodical inspections as well as executing scheduled maintenance works and repairing breakdowns on the production lines to minimise downtime.

Additionally you will also be getting involved with the preparation and co-execution of modification and/or new construction works on equipment and plants as well as small CI and 5S projects.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Applied knowledge of mechanical engineering, electricity and electromechanical engineering.
  • Applied knowledge of the operation and construction of production equipment.
  • Time served and qualified maintenance engineer. Multi-skilled preferred or prepared to work towards
  • If electrical bias, 18th edition qualified.
  • City and guilds or NVQ3 qualified in an engineering or maintenance discipline
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of safe working practices
  • Hygiene standards in a food environment
  • At least 3 years in similar environment
  • A knowledge of automated process equipment and control systems
  • Knowledge of sterilisation and filling processes
  • A knowledge of Tetra Pak, Galdi or similar packaging machines
