Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Electronic product development? If yes, then this role could be for you.

iO Associates have partnered with a leading developer of high tech communication technologies based in London. Their patented technology is unique in system architecture and can be used in all kinds of vehicles whether on land, sea or air. After a recent acquisition from an overseas company they are accelerating their development and their resources have deepened significantly.

As part of their strategic growth plan, my client is looking for a experienced Manufacturing & Operational Engineer to join the team. In this role you will be leading the manufacturing and supply chain aspects of the Aerospace RF Antenna and Electrical product development.

You will be providing the engineering team with a focused lead for manufacturing, assembly, procurement and supply chain, during the developmental project phases. Additionally you will be assisting design engineering with design for manufacture, external supply-chain liaison, development assembly management and supplier development.

The small and dynamic nature of the engineering team allows for this role to be multi-disciplined and range from production planning and strategic supplier engagement through to detailed hardware design and development.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A good first or Upper 2nd Class degree (BEng/MEng) in Engineering or equivalent work based qualifications.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing and development of electronics systems products.
  • Experience of manufacturing and procurement for communications equipment, preferably for commercial mobile platforms (airborne, marine or road vehicles).
  • Expert knowledge of 6 Sigma, APQP and PPAP
  • Experience of working with outsourced manufacturing partners
