Salary: £36.00 per hour Umbrella
Shift Pattern: Double Day Shift Pattern (20% uplift on rate)
Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday
Mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm
Afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm
iO Associates are seeking for a Manufacturing Engineer to work with one of the top businesses that create, produce, and provide customers with aerospace goods and services. They oversee the production of commercial aircraft, including helicopters, spacecraft, and defence systems.
Required:
- NVQ Level 4, HNC, or equivalent, with a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering
- Hands-on manufacturing background, ideally in aviation or within a large global manufacturing organisation, with technical experience using CATIA and SAP preferred
- Basic understanding of aircraft build philosophy and production processes
- Strong communication and exceptional organisational abilities to support complex engineering projects
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily line-side support to resolve technical issues, manage missing parts, nonconformities, concessions, outstanding work, maintenance, and tooling concerns, while driving continuous improvement.
- Manage work orders for out-of-cycle tasks, escalate recurring issues to relevant support functions, and assist with capacity planning to meet production lifecycle demands.
- Identify, analyse, and resolve recurring technical problems beyond operator and First Line Manager level, offering a clear shop floor perspective to the production team.
- Optimize planning, production control, and process design to meet Industrial Excellence targets through strict adherence to and continuous improvement of operational processes.
