Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 6 Months - Probable Extension

Location: Stevenage

Pay rate: Up to £31 per hour.

An innovative company at the forefront of the aerospace industry, located in Stevenage is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team. The company is globally recognized for its innovation and contributions to the aviation industry.

The position involves offering Manufacturing Engineering assistance to the Operations teams within MAIT while also aiding in achieving the deliverables of the Manufacturing Engineering team for the production of fully integrated Satellite Telecommunications and ENS Products.

Tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering support to Operations, collaborating with technicians, inspectors, team leaders, and KPOs as required.
  • Assist in generating standard documentation according to scheduled requirements.
  • Develop rework instructions, deviation plans, and discrepancy resolutions based on project needs, including identification of necessary parts and tooling.
  • Support quality reviews and Root Cause Analysis utilizing lean tools, while driving and taking ownership of PPSs.
  • Contribute to Lessons Learned exercises at key milestones involving all relevant stakeholders (Operations, process owners, MAIT management, and design).
  • Ensure feedback from the cleanroom is relayed to Process Owners for continuous process improvement and non-quality elimination.

Skills:

  • Proficient in utilizing digital Manufacturing Execution Systems like 3DX Delmia (DM) and Delmia Apriso (MES).
  • Skilled in generating Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM) integrating parts from the Engineering Digital Definition (EBOM).
  • Capable of creating processes from standard libraries, developing 3D work instructions, and editing and annotating 3D views for standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with software such as Windchill, P6, IPS, 3D Live, 3D Experience, or similar systems.
