Aerospace Mechanical System Engineer


Job Title: Mechanical System Engineer
Location: Lucerne, Switzerland
Contract Length: 6 to 12 months, possibility of extension
Rate: 90 CHF per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Role Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of various mechanical systems and components.
  • Define, validate, and verify requirements to comply with FAR/EASA-CS 23 regulations.
  • Manage technical communication and vendor relationships with external suppliers.
  • Prepare test reports and certification documentation.
  • Provide support for aircraft production and address technical queries during in-service operations.
  • Oversee vendor development projects.


Requirements:

  • MUST be an EU or Swiss Passport-holder, or already have a Swiss Work Permit
  • University degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in aerospace mechanical systems, particularly in development, integration, and certification.
  • Strong expertise in aircraft mechanical systems, including Secondary Flight Control System components and actuators.
  • Familiarity with CS/FAR Part 23, RTCA DO-160, -178, -254, and SAE ARP 4754A.
  • Demonstrated project and supplier management skills, along with problem-solving abilities for complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (CEFR Level C2 or IELTS 8) within a multinational work environment; knowledge of German is desirable.
