Mechanical Technician
Location - Munich Germany
12 months initially (highly likely to extend)

NOTE: Due to the nature of this onsite temporary role, my client can only consider candidates with EU citizenship or candidates already based in Germany.

My client is now urgently looking for a Mechanical Technician with experience in Energy/Battery Testing who will be responsible for component, system, and aircraft-level tests, covering propulsion, batteries, structures, and electronics.

Skills Required:

  • 3 years of professional experience with a technical understanding of mechanical and plant (or manufacturing/industrial) engineering
  • Knowledge and experience with electrical systems, in particular energy storage/battery systems
  • Experience in working in a test environment in the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, modification, and repair of mechanical products by manual and machine-supported processing, such as milling, lathing, sawing, drilling, welding, bending, grinding, cutting, screwing, riveting, soldering, bonding
  • Driver's license class B (car) is needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects for the design, procurement and assembly of test fixtures and proactively make improvements.
  • Procure material, products and semi-finished components.
  • Manufacture or finish mechanical components and structures by the processing of various materials (metal, plastic, wood)
  • Assemble and maintain test beds & rigs including the setup and adjustment of equipment and machines.
