iO has partnered with a well-established FMCG Manufacturer in the search for four Maintenance Engineers to join the team based in Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the chance to work at the company's UK flagship site.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be overseeing the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all factory equipment. The primary goal of the role will be to ensure that production operations are at peak efficiency, which will enable the achievement of key performance targets.

Main responsibilities:

• Attend breakdowns to minimise machinery downtime.
• Opportunity to stay updated on technological advancements and implement best practices in the factory.
• Diagnose defects, execute repairs and conduct thorough testing before handover.
• Liaise with contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Opportunity to contribute to departmental and site improvement projects.
• Review processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and maintain quality.
• Monitor and conduct dynamic performance tests of new/current machinery on a regular basis.

You will need:

• Formal engineering qualification
• Familiarity with system drawings and machinery manuals (Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic)
• 3+ years experience working within a FMCG environment (food manufacturing is desirable)
• Knowledge of PLCs and programming skills
• Experience of working with PPM systems and knowledge of PUWER regs
• 18th Edition Electrical Regulations

You will be working a rotating shift pattern of 05:45-14:40 and 14:15-23:10 and in return for this, you will receive a salary of £44,000 alongside some brilliant benefits such as 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension contribution, discounted canteen, Medicash and more.
