Network Architect | up to £800/day (Inside IR35) | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid (Bristol - 3 days on site)
iO are seeking an experienced Network Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure network solutions for a major programme within a highly secure environment. This is a key role, offering long-term engagement and the opportunity to shape network architecture from design through deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the project Network Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expert-level design guidance and technical leadership.
Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Architecture Overview Documents using industry-leading network technologies.
Create detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and configuration documents to support implementation and build activities.
Lead technical solution delivery from initial design through deployment and operational handover.
Engage in design workshops, ensuring architectural coherence and alignment across the wider project delivery team.
Support governance activities, including technical reviews, risk assessments, and documentation.
Contribute to the design and development of appropriate test documentation.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in designing and delivering network solutions within high-security or mission-critical environments.
Strong expertise in network protocols and technologies including routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
Confident collaborating across technical teams and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with network automation and hybrid/cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is desirable.
