iO Associates have partnered up with a global manufacturing giant who are on the lookout for an NPI Manager. They are operating on a global level and have continued to increase profits year on year despite the turbulence Covid has thrown in.

As part of the role, you will manage a cross-functional team leading the development of new products and sub-assemblies in line with company requirements whilst also maintaining a time to market of less than 18 months for all major projects. Covering product development as well as the development and commissioning of production test equipment is also a vital part of the role.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to deliver safe, right first-time NPI solutions to agreed project timescales, project costs and final product costs.
  • Strengthen the NPI Team demonstrating strong leadership to ensure effective recruitment and selection, objective setting, and development for a multi-skilled engineering team.
  • Identify the future talent pipeline including succession planning. Manage by coaching, mentoring, and developing the team to solve ever more ambitious challenges.

Experience:

  • Bachelor or master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience developing product development processes and able to make recommendations for improvement.
  • Significant experience working in a global engineering environment and working with international teams to deliver electronics and product solutions.
  • Significant experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry. Strong understanding on product safety and compliance.
  • Experience in a project management role using both Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM) frameworks.
  • CEng, Chartered Engineer, would be preferred.

In return for this you will receive a salary between 55k - 68k dependent on your level of experience, Additional benefits:
