iO Associates have partnered with a global food and drink manufacturer based in Kettering in the Search for an OT Engineer to join the growing team.

As the OT Engineer you will be working within maintenance department handling all automation equipment on site, this includes PLC's, invertors, wincc, servers etc. and general maintenance of the management systems.

You will manage the cybersecurity side of things of the OT manufacturing processes including monitoring, eliminating cyber risks, compliance of technology, processes with cyber policy and system documentation.

Additionally you will work with maintenance team leader in training engineers and supporting in root cause analysis, ownership of OT hardware and Software landscape and troubleshooting OT production infrastructure.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Bachelors Degree in IT Computer sciences or comparable by experience
Generalist with understanding of servers, SAN disk storage, virtualisation, network architecture and technology, firewall technology, Windows OS, Active Directory, Cybersecurity, Endpoint Protection.
Have a structured approach in projects, changes and documentation. Ad-hoc impulsive or undocumented actions must be avoided.
Ability to translate the business needs to internal and external IT specialists
Have an interest in the manufacturing process, and the application of IT/OT technologies in the manufacturing context.
Value reliability higher than technical complexity
At least 3 years in similar environment
A knowledge of automated process equipment and control systems
Knowledge of sterilisation and filling processes is desirable
A knowledge of Tetra Pak, Galdi or similar packaging machines is desirable.
