PMO Manager - Department Lead

Location: East Midlands (Hybrid)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Up to £75,000

iO Associates are working with a specialist healthcare technology provider and they are looking for an experienced PMO Manager to lead the Projects Department. This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of a portfolio of SaaS implementation projects for private healthcare clients.

You'll manage a team of project professionals, oversee planning and resource allocation, and ensure consistent, on-time delivery across all engagements. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on PMO experience, ideally within the private healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the PMO function, overseeing portfolio delivery and team structure
Manage project performance, planning, resource allocation, and risk
Drive quality assurance and consistency across delivery teams
Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders (including private hospital clients)
Support ongoing transformation across the delivery function

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience running or leading within a PMO or project delivery function, ideally in a SaaS or healthcare environment
Strong people leadership and line management experience
Confidence engaging in technical discussions (particularly around SQL databases and integrations - hands-on experience not required)
A collaborative and supportive management style - with the ability to push back constructively when needed
Experience delivering software or technology projects, ideally in private healthcare or healthtech (e.g. EPR, healthcare systems)
