My client, a leading name in the aerospace sector is currently seeking and experienced Systems Engineer to join their team on a remote working basis.
As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing battery performance and powertrain models as well as performing thermal/electrical simulation tasks.
- Maintain and develop powertrain models to support requirements and use cases
- Carry out validation activities opn the powertrain model for in-flight test aircraft
- Develop and co-ordinate test plans to ensure the powertrain model is fully validated for certification
- Develop Matlab/Simulink models
- Perform data processing and analysis and report to internal and external teams/management.
Therefore, I am ideally seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Experience in (performance) powertrain modelling and programming skills.
- Experience of BEV powertrain development is required.
- Working knowledge of software including MATLAB and Simulink. Experience with Python is highly appreciated.
- Advanced understanding of Battery Systems is desirable
- Hands-on experience working with vehicle LV and HV systems is nice to have.
- Prior battery component design experience, such as bus-bars, connectors, etc is nice to have.
- Fluent English language skills are essential. German or any other language skills considered an advantage.
