Principal Civil & Structural Engineer

Position: Principal Civil & Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineers, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
• Provide engineering support for construction and commissioning activities.
• Foster strong relationships with the design team, on-site construction team, and the client's intelligent customer team.
• Respond promptly to technical queries and issues arising from construction activities.
• Interface with construction personnel on-site to ensure compliance with engineering design.
• Produce and review structural calculations, technical reports, and details for site modifications.
• Review contractor method statements and inspection plans.
• Participate in meetings, walk-downs, and reviews as required.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified, preferably Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE).
• Nuclear industry experience preferred.
• Proactive, self-starter with strong communication, analytical, and teamworking skills.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations and duties as a Designer.
• Ability to obtain BPSS is essential.

Software Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, STAAD-Pro, Tedds, Navisworks.
