Position: Principal Consultant

As client projects experience rapid growth, we are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Principal Consultant to play a pivotal role in this fast-growing company. This opportunity offers the chance for substantial personal development and career enhancement based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of Availability, Reliability, and Maintainability (AR&M) services.
  • Provide authoritative communication at senior executive levels to guide strategic decisions on capital projects and operations.
  • Contribute actively to business growth and development, supporting current client projects and initiatives.
  • Utilise strong business development skills and ideally bring a client following.
  • Lead client project teams, deliver AR&M studies, and foster technical capability development.
  • Produce client advice and outputs, including presentations and written reports.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings with diverse audiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while developing new business opportunities.
  • Manage teams, ensuring operational effectiveness and contributing to the strategic development of the business.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in AR&M advisory.
  • Senior consultant or leadership position in manufacturing, Oil and Gas, infrastructure, defence or a similar organisation.
  • Led reliability improvement programs for large clients across multiple sites or geographies.
  • Experience with RCM, RCA, FMEA, and implementation of PAS55 and/or ISO 55000.
  • Proven success in leading teams, projects, and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business development track record and market focus/relationships.
  • Desire to take responsibility for growing a successful consultancy and contributing to overall company development.
  • Willingness to travel and work on client sites with overnight stays (expenses covered).
  • Full UK driving license and UK passport holder.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree or postgraduate level qualification in relevant areas: Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, etc.), Physics, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Membership in the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or a similar organisation.

Employment Details:

  • UK security clearance required preferable.
  • Must be a UK passport holder with the right to work and at least 5 years continuous residence.
