About the Role
As a Junior Product Development Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in the R&D team, contributing to the design, prototyping, and testing of advanced nebulisation technologies. Your work will directly influence the next generation of drug delivery devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers and researchers to drive product development forward.
Support development and optimisation of nebuliser technologies.
Translate product requirements into technical solutions.
Generate, evaluate, and develop new design concepts.
Prototype components and design test fixtures.
Conduct and troubleshoot experiments to verify technical solutions.
Assist with 3D printing and prototype assembly.
Record, analyse, and interpret experimental results accurately.
Work in compliance with ISO13485 standards.
Contribute to risk management activities (e.g., dFMEA).
Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment.
About You
Required Qualifications & Experience:
BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in product design, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a product development role (exceptional recent graduates will also be considered).
Practical experience with component design, prototyping, and use of lab/test equipment.
Comfortable working in both dry and wet lab environments.
Understanding of experimental design and data analysis.
Desirable Skills:
3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks or similar).
Experience with statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
Simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
Basic programming (Python, Arduino IDEs).
Familiarity with mechanical workshop tools and techniques.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
