Project Manufacturing Engineer

Clevedon, near Bristol (Hybrid)

Up to £47,600 per annum Plus Benefits

iO Associates is looking for a Project Manufacturing Engineer to work with leading provider of high tech electromechanical systems for the semiconductor industry.

As the direct report to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead, the responsibility involves ensuring the prompt completion of all manufacturing engineering deliverables for either new product implementation (NPI) projects or distributed manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the PME lead to enhance and establish Manufacturing Engineering (ME) systems and process documentation. Possess knowledge of Business Management Systems to streamline day-to-day operations.

  • Demonstrate confidence in handling product manufacturing processes and collaborating within manufacturing cells, covering sub-assembly, final assembly, final testing, and dispatch.

  • Bring experience in developing production work instructions, managing Design for Manufacturability (DFM), making informed make/buy decisions, overseeing Capital Expenditure (Capex), and conducting Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the build process.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Manufacturing Engineering degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (essential).

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining manufacturing process documentation (essential).

  • Proficiency in New Product Introduction (NPI), Production Control Plan (PCP) gate methodology, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL), including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), make/buy decisions, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and build notes (essential).
