Job Title: Quality Lead
Location: Eastbourne UK
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £57k pa

iO is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Lead to lead the consistent delivery of quality components and products for Eastbourne PC.
They are the leading developer and manufacturer of world leading vacuum products, exhaust management systems and related value-added services.
They will be responsible for Championing quality to the site, managing the workflow of quality issues, in the team and site as a whole. Drive a closed loop approach to the identification, prioritisation and resolution of systemic failures and non-conformity within the Eastbourne PC and support identification of opportunities for continual improvement of our key processes. To deliver a robust Quality Management System ensuring compliance with Atlas Copco requirements, relevant International standards ISO 9001 and relevant legislative requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the quality team managing the team work flow.
  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and NCRs raised in the FRACAS system ensuring that the 8D process is consistently followed.
  • Lead identification of opportunities for the continual improvement of the key quality processes on site and make improvements as appropriate.
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
  • Ensure that the Eastbourne PC's Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, review and auditing of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Eastbourne PC's products.
  • Quality team people management including PPDR, 1:1's, recruitment etc.
  • Keep up to date on all applicable standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to product (service) quality.?


Requirements:

  • Experience of leading/managing a quality function
  • Membership of professional body Chartered Quality Institute is preferred.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter, effective time manager and effective line manager.
