Remote Contract Opportunity - PCB Designer (Commercial Drones)
We're an ambitious early-stage startup in the commercial drone sector, currently at pre-investment phase and gearing up for significant growth. We're seeking an experienced PCB Designer to join us on contract and play a key role in shaping our core hardware at this exciting stage. This is a fully remote role, offering both flexibility and the chance to connect with a company on the cusp of scaling rapidly.
Contract Details

  • Rate: £550 per day

  • Engagement: Contract position (remote)

  • Start: Immediate availability preferred

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop multilayer PCB layouts for drone systems, from concept through to production.

  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers to optimize design.

  • Ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and regulatory standards.

  • Work with manufacturing partners to streamline for production and assembly.

  • Support prototype builds, testing, and design revisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in PCB design (Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar).

  • Strong background in high-speed signal design, power distribution, and EMI/EMC considerations.

  • Experience with compact, lightweight multilayer designs (ideally in drones, robotics, or aerospace).

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote-first team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Why Work With Us?

  • Be part of a startup at a pivotal moment, with huge growth potential.

  • Fully remote - work from anywhere.

  • Competitive contract rate (~£55/hr).

  • Opportunity to shape real-world drone applications in logistics, inspection, and agriculture.

If you're ready to help design the boards that power the future of drones, we'd love to hear from you.
