As a SAR Remote Sensing Specialist, you will play a key role as part of the data processing team to understand and improve SAR data sets to meet internal standards and client expectations.

- The position is full-time and on-site.
- Candidates must have a Swiss or EU passport.
- Relocation is a requirement if you are not a commutable distance, as you will be office based.
Position Description
As a SAR Remote Sensing Specialist, your responsibilities will include processing and analyzing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data to generate operational insights, maps, and reports. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to contribute to projects like security and intelligence services, environmental monitoring and infrastructure assessment.
A good knowledge of remote sensing and the SAR-InSAR theory is desirable, together with strong problem-solving and team-working skills.
Your Responsibilities:
- SAR data processing and interpretation of results to extract relevant information according to project requirements.
- Writing clear professional reports and presentations that incorporate critical thinking and spatial data analysis.
- Establish and oversee appropriate project/task/deliverable reviews to ensure technical quality, product delivery, and impactful work.
- Contribute to technical proposals for tenders.
- Manage timelines, communication, and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously with accountability to commitments.
- Interact with various stakeholders and partners to ensure project activities are aligned.
Technical skills
- At least 3 years of experience in SAR data processing and analysis.
- Very good knowledge of GIS environment.
- Applied programming skills (IDL, Python ….) with a demonstrated ability to automate work processes.
- Familiarity with image processing software, e.g. ENVI, SARscape or similar is also appreciated.
- Project management experience.

Required Education
- MSc or PhD degree in Geomatics, Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing, Engineering or related field.
- Experience in SAR-InSAR data processing and GIS environments will be considered.
Languages
- Fluent English (written and oral) is mandatory.
- Italian will be also considered.
