iO Associates are partnered with an SME in their search for an experienced Automation Engineer / Developer with Active SC Clearance to design, build, and maintain automation solutions for provisioning and managing bare metal environments. This role focuses on streamlining deployments, reducing manual processes, and ensuring consistent infrastructure performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automation scripts, playbooks, and workflows (Python, Ansible).
Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of bare metal servers.
Build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and integrate with version control tools.
Implement monitoring, reporting, and configuration management processes.
Troubleshoot automation-related issues and optimize performance.
Produce technical documentation and share best practices with the team.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Active SC Clearance.
Strong Python programming and automation experience.
Proficiency with Ansible and CI/CD tools (ideally Jenkins).
Knowledge of the Atlassian toolset, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Solid understanding of bare metal infrastructure and networking concepts.
Experience with version control (Git).

The role is paying up to £550 / day Outside IR35 and you will be required on-site in Corsham once per week.
