Role Overview
In response to ongoing growth and strategic expansion, our Client is expanding their engineering capabilities in high-stakes industries, including the nuclear sector. This senior position plays a vital role in designing and developing complex electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for challenging projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual and detailed design, review, and development of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for diverse engineering projects.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration, compliance with safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and technical staff to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical assessments, risk analyses, and troubleshooting to resolve intricate EC&I challenges effectively.
  • Contribute to project planning, producing detailed technical documentation and ensuring adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
  • Support site investigations and oversee the safe installation of electrical and control equipment as required.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience as an EC&I Engineer, ideally within regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, or similar sectors.
  • Strong expertise in electrical and control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability in engineering design, calculations, risk assessments, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear technical guidance and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Possession of a degree in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous involvement in nuclear industry projects or other highly regulated environments.
  • Chartered Engineer status or recognised professional accreditation.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and lifecycle processes.
