Senior Full Stack JavaScript Developer

Manchester (Hybrid, 3 days a week)
£65,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Share Options

If you're a Senior Full Stack Developer who's ready for more ownership, more say in product direction, and more impact this one's worth a look.

I'm hiring for a well-funded Health Tech product company in Manchester. They've developed a platform that brings real-time health tracking and personalised digital care into the hands of users and healthcare providers. It's clean, scalable tech and they're about to double their engineering team.

You'd be joining as one of their most senior hires, working across the stack and shaping how features are built, tested, and released. You'll work closely with the CTO, take full ownership of features, and have a say in what gets built and how.

The stack:

  • Frontend: React (with hooks), Next.js, TypeScript

  • Backend: Node.js, GraphQL, RESTful APIs

  • Database: PostgreSQL

  • Infrastructure/DevOps: Docker, AWS, CI/CD Pipelines

What they're looking for:

  • Strong experience in full stack JavaScript development in a busy product-led environments
  • Proven ability to design and architect scalable systems not just build features but think about long-term performance, maintainability and growth
  • Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture comfortable leading on component structure, state management patterns (Context, Redux, or similar), and performance optimisation
  • Experience with backend systems including RESTful APIs, database design (PostgreSQL or similar), authentication flows, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), and version control best practices
  • Someone who actively contributes to team growth mentoring, reviewing PRs with purpose, and encouraging best practices
  • A cooperative mindset someone who adds to the team flexibility, not just the codebase
  • The confidence to take initiative and offer technical direction

Why join:

  • Clear career path towards Lead / Principal

  • Flexibility and autonomy over your work

  • Quarterly hack days and regular roadmap reviews

  • Modern offices in Manchester City Centre
