Role Summary
In response to increasing project demands and strategic expansion, our Client is seeking a highly motivated Senior H&S CDM Consultant. This key appointment plays a strategic role in ensuring project safety and compliance while supporting design teams and clients across diverse construction initiatives. The role offers an exciting chance to make a tangible impact on high-profile projects and uphold the highest standards of health and safety performance. The Senior H&S CDM Consultant will be integral to maintaining rigorous safety standards and driving continuous improvement within the organisation's projects.


Responsibilities

  • Advise clients and project teams on their duties under CDM 2015 legislation, ensuring compliance and best practice integration.
  • Collaborate with designers to conduct health and safety reviews during the design phase, providing clear guidance and recommendations.
  • Perform comprehensive CDM consultancy activities in alignment with agreed service levels and client needs.
  • Conduct health and safety audits and site inspections to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review risk assessments and method statements, and support incident investigations as required.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety and CDM training sessions to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and industry standards, incorporating relevant updates into practice.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering CDM 2015 services within the construction or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and practical application in construction projects.
  • Demonstrable experience conducting audits, reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Professional qualification such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate and relevant membership or working towards Chartered status.
  • Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working on projects valued at £5 million or more.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office tools and safety management software.


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Behavioural safety training expertise.
  • Familiarity with ISO45001 management systems.
  • Experience working across multiple regional projects.
  • Additional professional qualifications or industry training relevant to safety management.
