Senior Information Security Advisor

Senior Information Security Advisor | Bristol/Flexible | £70,000

We are looking for an individual with strong understanding of information security accreditation, risk management and the ability to manage projects and prioritise strategic decisions. This person will be an integral member to one my clients' most critical and exciting undertakings: a huge naval project. As the Senior Information Security Advisor, you will be expected to take ownership of all crucial information security plans and facets. These processes are expected to grow as the project develops, and as such, the role will be both challenging yet highly rewarding with a tall ceiling for progression.

Responsibilities will include:

· Provide Information Security advice and support to complex defence programmes.

· Identify security risks within complex information systems and develop effective and risk balanced security measures to mitigate them.

· Produce Information Security artefacts such as Risk Management and Accreditation Document Set (RMADS) and Security Management Plans (SMP).

· Engage with stakeholders, the Engineering team and sub-contractors to provide direction, guidance and support on acceptable and balanced information security solutions.

What we're looking for:

· Knowledge and understanding of MOD and Government information security policy, standards and guidance.

· Experience in generation of information security Risk Assessments, Risk Treatment Plans and Risk Management and Accreditation Documents.

· Experience in the specification and development of effective and balanced information assurance solutions or approaches.

· Experience of working within a UK Government security environment or Defence sector.
