Senior Manufacturing Engineer

iO Associates are currently working with a leading Vacuum technology business who employ over 4000 people worldwide with manufacturing facilities across Europe, Asia and North America.

This exciting opportunity would be to work on the South Coast at a facility in Eastbourne. They are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer, who will be responsible for providing manufacturing engineering skills to the assigned cross-functional team with an emphasis on promoting Design for Manufacturing techniques for the next generation of products and to ensure a successful transition from design into manufacture.

The business are market leaders working within multiple industries, manufacturing motor controllers & drives, with a clear progression path from the moment you join, the company have been operating for more than 100 years giving you great stability.
Skills/Knowledge:

• Prior experience supporting computer-controlled electrical/electronic equipment.
• An appreciation of Design for manufacture considerations within Printed Circuit Assemblies (Surface Mount and conventional components), Sheet Metal Fabrication, Wire Harness and Loom manufacture is essential.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with relative post qualification experience, or an HND with specific test experience.
