Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary Negotiable

Cambridge

This privately owned company has been operating at the forefront of thermal imaging technology for almost 40 years and continues to be a leader in their market with products that have both civilian and military applications.

Due to rapid growth and new products coming to the market, my client is now looking to add an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to their team to work alongside their existing Mechanical department on new product design and development projects.

The products have seen growing demand due to their versatility and the company's foothold on this market, therefore you will often be working on never been done before products that will allow your creativity and problem solving to shine through.

You will be expected to demonstrate proven ability in the full product development lifecycle including 3D modelling, design analysis (FEA and thermal), drafting, supplier and customer liaison, prototype building, product testing and production support (particularly plastic injection moulding).

As well as contributing to the technical development of these products, you will also get the opportunity to be technical lead/project manager on various projects which will involve the combined efforts of electronics, software and production engineers, so a base understanding of these disciplines would be highly advantageous.

The salary on offer is to be discussed upon application, however as well as this they are offering a contribution towards company pension scheme, flexible working, life assurance plus several team social events to get involved in.

If this opportunity would be of interest and you'd like to learn more, please apply with your latest CV to be considered.
