Contract - Senior Mechanical Engineer - Defueling
up to £55 per hour
Locations: Leicester | Hybrid Working
1 year initially (highly likely to extend)

A pioneering engineering firm based in Leicester is urgently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Defueling. They're working at the forefront of Decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities to support the sea operation and building of nuclear power plants.

The role involves managing customers and delivering mechanical design solutions. It requires expertise in a specialized field, the ability to solve technical challenges, create technical reports and presentations, and follow stakeholder specifications.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent qualification) with extensive experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
• Proven experience in managing engineering scope for projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the effective delivery of mechanical design solutions.
• Ensure the accurate application of procedures, codes, and standards to all engineering and technical activities.
• Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports.
• Maintain engineering configuration to ensure design integrity.
