Overview

I am delighted to announce we have started working with a brilliant client based in Central London.
My client is looking for a Back-End developer to join their highly successful developer team in their London office. My client is a games studio that develops innovative and exciting games for Android and Apple mobile products. They have a wealth of traditional gaming development experience whilst blending a group of talented developers to create a passionate, and highly innovative development team making the very best free to play games.
You would design and develop server-based online multiplayer gaming systems. You will be working very closely with the designing department, other developers as well as the technical directors to resolve any challenges or issues that arise when creating the highest quality online user experience within the given deadlines.

Permanent, full-time role. Based in London, working from home for the foreseeable future.

Responsibilities

As my clients' customer base grows, the multiplayer service has experienced massive growth in usage as well. Therefore, you would be responsible for helping to continue the growth of the multiplayer service as well as innovating new areas across different products. You will get the opportunity to utilise the latest technology to ensure the products are compelling and the online experience is first rate.
You would help design, and build the new online functionality whilst keeping it simple to maintain as well as ensuring the products are robust enough to be deployed and receive rapid post-launch updates in response to customer feedback.
You would also get to be actively involved in design discussions to make best use of technology.

Requirements

Strong technical abilities in design and coding in suitable Web technologies and frameworks:

• C#/.Net (Core)
• JavaScript
• Node.JS
• Azure/AWS
• SQL/NoSQL
• Redis
• Docker

Experience of server/network, database design, replication, load balancing, reliable/unreliable messaging, latency minimisation, security.
