iO Associates are working with a large, well-known company based in Bristol who are on the lookout for a Software Support Analyst to join their growing team. The company is growing hugely (they actually have two of these positions available!) and they can provide immense progression opportunities.

This company prides themselves on providing top notch training and development, and launching progression opportunities for their team.

Role: Software Support Analyst

Location: Bristol

Salary: £20,000 - £27,000 + excellent benefits

This Software Support Analyst will use their great communication skills to help users with a myriad of technical issues. You will provide the initial point of contact for the company's IT Support department.

Progression paths are available into Manager/ Technical Lead/ Architect positions - and examples of this progression can be seen across the business. The Lead Architect started at the company in a Software Support role.

This role will involve:

  • Communicating with customers over the phone to resolve technical issues swiflty and effectively
  • Providing support via email and Teams
  • Deployments on client site
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Product support and infrastructure support
  • Working with SQL
  • Working with Windows servers

Some previous exposure to SQL would be beneficial for this role. There will be training and development available in this and a variety of other technology as well.

The Service Desk Analyst will troubleshoot technical issues effectively and escalate tickets when required. The company has a great mentoring set up so you will have the opportunity to learn new technology and develop your skills. There is no clear distinction between 1st/ 2nd/ 3rd line work so you will have the opportunity to really role your sleeves up and work with new technology.
