STRESS ENGINEER - TOOLS & METHODS
INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT
REMOTE
UP TO 60 - 65 EUROS / HOUR

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the development of a brand new, next generation electric aircraft that is set to completely revolutionise the future of cross-country travel in the coming years.

This cutting edge, futuristic concept combines the two key factors of convenience and sustainability through the development of their digital platforms and green power technology.

They are now looking for a Stress Engineer with a strong background in Stress, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis to join the team. You will be involved in defining methodologies for RF determination of composite & metallic aircraft structures in terms of Static Strength, Stability, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance as well as developing the required tools to implement these methodologies.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Stress, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis, with application to composite & metallic aircraft structures
  • Excellent knowledge of analytical and numerical (FEM) Stress, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis methods following established standards
  • Extensive working experience in the development of Tools & Methods in the form of spreadsheets, subroutines, scripts (TCL and Python) etc.
  • Proven working experience with the commercial implicit FE code OptiStruct and corresponding pre- and post-processing tools (HyperMesh and HyperView) is a must
