iO Associates have partnered with a globally recognised manufacturer based in Clevedon in the search for a Supply Chain Manager.

The company is a global leader in their technology and they have customers across a broad range of industries all over the world. Their state of the art engineering and manufacturing facility is undergoing an expansion right now meaning they will have even more capacity to continue supplying quality products to their customers.

As the Supply Chain Manager you will sit on the senior leadership team and have the chance to influence the supply of material into and around the company. You will be reporting to the General Manager and will have 3 main areas of responsibility; Operational Purchasing, Goods in/Stores and strategic procurement including SQA. There will also be a strategic oversight role for the supply chain of the Clevedon products globally.

As Supply Chain Manager you will reduce waste and ensure high stock availability by implementing efficient tools/processes for receiving materials and stock location management. You will be responsible for £140 million supplier spend budget and an inventory worth £30 million. During your time here you will be looking to achieve operational excellence through the development of a competitive supplier base through state of the art sourcing.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing
  • 5+ years experience working in a purchasing or materials management role.
  • 3+ years experience within a manufacturing organisation
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a purchasing or materials management role.
  • Expertise in inventory management and control systems
  • Expertise in ERP software (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience and ability to collaborate across functions and all levels of organization
  • Excellent negotiation skills, decision-making skills, communication, analysis
  • Inventory organization concepts considered an asset
