Now Hiring: Systems Engineer - Satellite Communications Programme
Location: Portsmouth
Contract

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support the development of a critical satellite communications management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop system designs based on customer requirements
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Design Authorities to manage the product backlog
  • Model system and software architecture using UML/SysML
  • Document system interfaces and interactions (ICDs/IRDs)
  • Conduct peer reviews and support development teams in understanding system models

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in SatCom and defence projects
  • Proficiency in UML/SysML modelling
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of radio planning, Agile methodologies, and software development
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Exposure to Software Defined Networking and network management tools
