An exciting opportunity to join a leading UK software and digital solutions provider delivering services to public sector and enterprise clients. The Senior Test Engineer will join a collaborative, forward‑thinking engineering team focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement.

Role overview

Lead testing for complex, enterprise-grade solutions across system, integration, regression and UAT phases while championing automation and quality practices across delivery teams. Act as a technical mentor for junior testers and represent testing expertise in customer and pre‑sales discussions to help shape solutions and proposals.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver end-to-end testing activities including System, Integration, Regression and UAT for multiple projects.
Design, build and maintain automated test suites and frameworks to improve release speed and reliability.
Mentor and coach Junior Testers, driving skills development, peer reviews and best-practice adoption.
Define and promote testing standards, processes and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

Essential skills & experience

Strong practical knowledge of testing methodologies: functional, non‑functional and automation testing.
Hands-on experience with Selenium and BDD-style tools such as Cucumber and/or SpecFlow.
Experience using Azure DevOps (including Test Manager) and JIRA for test planning, execution, and defect management.
ISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing certification.
