Test Automation Analyst - Up to £55,000 plus Benefits

Mostly Remote (Bristol or London; rarely onsite)

An exciting opportunity to join a leading UK software and digital solutions provider delivering services to public sector and enterprise clients. The Senior Test Engineer will join a collaborative, forward‑thinking engineering team focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement.

Role overview

Lead testing for complex, enterprise-grade solutions across system, integration, regression and UAT phases while championing automation and quality practices across delivery teams. Act as a technical mentor for junior testers and represent testing expertise in customer and pre‑sales discussions to help shape solutions and proposals.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end testing activities including System, Integration, Regression and UAT for multiple projects.
  • Design, build and maintain automated test suites and frameworks to improve release speed and reliability.
  • Mentor and coach Junior Testers, driving skills development, peer reviews and best-practice adoption.
  • Define and promote testing standards, processes and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

Essential skills & experience

  • Strong practical knowledge of testing methodologies: functional, non‑functional and automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and BDD-style tools such as Cucumber and/or SpecFlow.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (including Test Manager) and JIRA for test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • ISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing certification.
