My client, a leading name in the Aerospace sector are currently seeking an experienced Avionics Systems/Hardware Engineer to work with their team based in Munich (1-2 days per week remote possible).

The Role:

As an experienced Aerospace Systems Engineer with knowledge of airborne hardware you will report to the propulsion and flight controls department and will contribute to the architecture, design and certification of hardware in relation to the propulsion system.

Typically, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Lead the development, integration and verification of sensors within the propulsion system
  • Requirements management
  • Supplier liaison management
  • Take ownership of the system and manage its whole development and verification activities.
  • Support the design, evaluation and perform data analysis of electronic sensors
  • Work closely together with other departments (e.g safety, tests) and external suppliers.


Therefore, I'm ideally seeking candidates that can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with airborne electronic hardware sensors development in aerospace or high reliability applications.
  • Experience with SAEARP-4754A and RTCA DO-160G
  • Familiarity with DO-254 and DO-178C is an advantage
  • Experience working with and managing external suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory material and certification requirements
  • Experience with requirements management and their tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion)
  • Experience in leading or completing verification activities is a plus
  • MBSE experience would be a plus (not essential)
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
