iO Associates is looking for an onsite Building & Construction Project Leader, to work at the Portsmouth site for a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors.
You would be responsible to establish and manage Multi-Functional Project Teams to complete projects in conformance with Client's policies and internal standards.
Locations: Portsmouth, UK
Daily rate: up to £39 per hour Inside IR35
Working pattern: Hybrid
12 months initial contract with possible extensions
A successful candidate will have:
- A degree in a field linked to building engineering services design, such as an ONC or HNC, or its equivalent.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a Multi-Functional Project Team (MFT), which may also include outside professionals like as contract managers, clients' CDMs, QS, etc.
- Experience in Capital Investment Project management, and project delivery is required.
- Previously used Building Engineering Services Refurbishing existing buildings with a focus on completing modest to medium-sized projects.
- Capability to translate customer needs for construction into scopes for other professionals including architects, structural engineers, and systems designers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update/manage, and monitor a project delivery plan.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities.
- Manage CAPEX business cases from preparation through approval to delivery and project close.
- Develop detailed design briefs for Building Services design for a range of projects including major plant replacement and refurbishment works.
- Skilled and competent in IT tools, able to produce and present documentation, reports, technical analysis, cost reports. Experience in SharePoint / MS Project / G suite highly preferred.
- Liaising with clients, architects, and other design team members.
- Preparation of reports, drawings, and specifications. Able to prepare and manage project external costs from request through approval to completion.
