Full-Stack Developer

iO Associates have partnered with a leading news publisher who holds an award-winning digital portfolio.

I'm looking for x3 Fullstack Software Engineer with experience working with big data to join a cutting edge Data Products team, working with machine learning and leveraging their data lake and in-house analytics platform.

This role can be 100% home based or linked to their London offices 1-2 days a week. This is upto the discretion of the candidate.

The team is comprised of engineers and data scientists. The team is very collaborative, designing and maintaining their own solutions as a team, from concept to deployment - including monitoring and reporting - using a combination of technologies.

The Ideal Candidate

Experienced in using one or more cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) both via web console and programatically (infrastructure-as-code).

AWS experience preferred. e.g. CloudFormation, EC2, ASG, Lambda, Kinesis, Docker, Drone.

Experience with Big Data, data modelling and appreciation of data architecture and ability to explain data layers to other engineers, data scientists and to external stakeholders. e.g. Experience with AWS Athena, Google BigQuery, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch.

Able to suggest and implement improvements to automation, monitoring, integration and unit testing, deployment pipelines, system architecture and documentation.
e.g. Knowledge of one of Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, GoLang
