Location: Loughborough, UK
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (06:00-18:15 and 18:00-06:15), average 40 hours/week

With a strong presence in regulated manufacturing and advanced production technologies, the company is now expanding its maintenance team with progression opportunities at their Loughborough site.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production, manufacturing, and packaging equipment in a GMP-compliant environment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining operational reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform expert-level maintenance on production, process, and packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Use predictive maintenance tools to proactively manage machinery performance.
  • Carry out repairs in line with GMP, ensuring compliance with validation specifications.
  • Contribute to CI projects to improve equipment uptime and overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement long-term solutions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to H&S standards and company policies.
  • Support the training and upskilling of junior team members when required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a maintenance engineering role.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
  • Knowledge of GMP standards-experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industries is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic CMMS tools.
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies is desirable.
