Mechanical Design Engineer

£40,000 Per Annum

Located in the picturesque Cotswolds, my client is a bespoke producer of medical products which is seeing demand constantly increase and they are now looking to add an additional Mechanical Design Engineer to their newly restructured team to support the NPI department.

The medical products that they design and develop have predominantly plastic elements to them, so a strong knowledge for plastic injection moulding is an essential requirement for this position.

The company have recently received more investment which means they have been able to start a refurbishment of their offices near Gloucester which includes clean room areas and mock-up environments for their products.

Aside from designing the products with Solidworks and using the PDM system, the role will require you to perform tolerance stack analysis and GD&T. It will also be highly desirable if you have a good understanding of FEA and DFMEA.

This role will be a combination of New Product Development and improving/organising the designs of the company's legacy products, however, initially the focus will be on the existing portfolio as the company has recently migrated onto a new PDM system.

In return my client is offering a competitive salary of £40,000 Per Annum, flexible working, as well as realistic scope to progress to the next level within 2/3 years.
