Mechanical Design Engineer

£30,000-£45,000 Per Annum

Due to several new projects incoming, a client of mine in Somerset are looking to bolster their Mechanical division with the hire of two additional Mechanical Design Engineers to work on bespoke machinery projects.

You will be joining their existing team of 9 Mechanical Design Engineers to work on exciting state-of-the-art automation projects within several FMCG markets including pharmaceuticals and food & beverages.

They are based in the Southern part of Somerset and are also offering some remote working to give you the flexibility to be able to carry out some of your work from home.

Your role will be varied as you take on the full product development lifecycle from design concepts through to prototypes and production. This will enable you to see your designs come to life and allow you to be a part of the development every step of the way.

They are looking for people experienced in the special purpose machinery industry, who can work with 3D CAD (preferably Inventor), carry out relevant engineering calculations and have a firm understanding of the manufacturing processes for industrial machinery to see the creations of these products through.

The package on offer is £30,000-£45,000 Per Annum plus pension, healthcare cash plan, 4.5 day working week and some flexible working.
