Role: Process Development Engineer
Location: Bristol
Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay: £55ph - £60ph DOE (Outside IR35)

We're looking for a Process Development Engineer to lead the development of a new adhesive bonding process for battery pack assemblies. This will focus on adhesive selection, equipment trials, and full process integration into manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Outline performance and adhesive requirements in collaboration with engineering.
Identify, evaluate, and trial adhesives through lab-based testing.
Specify and trial dispensing equipment suitable for production use.
Develop and document the adhesive bonding process.
Integrate the process into manufacturing with appropriate tooling and controls.
Create and deliver technical reports, specifications, and training materials.
Support risk mitigation through PFMEA and process validation activities.

Experience Required:

Proven experience in adhesive bonding process development.
Knowledge of adhesive types, surface preparation, and application methods.
Familiarity with industrial dispensing equipment and process trials.
Background in manufacturing engineering within a technical environment.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with design, quality, and production teams.
Understanding of PFMEA and process validation best practices.
