Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

£40,000 - £70,000 Per Annum

On behalf of a high-precision technology client of mine, I am seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an Engineering team of 30 people based near Chelmsford.

This role will sit in between two major functions within the business where you will be at the forefront of the Research and Development department as well as assisting with the Operational aspects of the design team.

The company are a very close-nit team and are currently at around 30 people from mostly Engineering and Operations, this is looking to grow as they have recently won several new projects and are therefore looking to increase their in-house Mechanical Design capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing products for safety critical environments where you will be working to a number of industry standards for demanding applications.

Sitting within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be collaborating to work towards a finished product with some electro-mechanical elements and therefore will need to have the experience in the whole product development process to see the product right through to manufacture.

Key Requirements:

• High-Precision design experience (sensors, medical devices, scientific instrumentation etc)
• Full Product Development Lifecycle experience
• 10+ years experience with 3D CAD Design
• FEA Analysis
