Working for a Global aerospace and defence company, you will be operating at the forefront of innovation, managing design-based Engineering Development programs, planning and directing the development and application of products through the early stages of the product development life cycle.

The company, based in Brighton, have offices in several locations across the UK and further sites in 9 other countries. Their customers are Worldwide and the company boasts a healthy, growing revenue stream which all stems from the market leading quality and high standards of its employees.

You will be the technical specialist in this department, working across all projects and acting as the subject matter expert for Mechanical Engineering, so a thorough understanding of the full product development life cycle is key.

To be successful in this role you will come from a Mechanical Engineering background with a solid understanding of other closely related disciplines (electrical, electronics, controls). It is important that you have a solid engineering knowledge and are able to perform hand calculations to ensure the design solution is feasible.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of Aerospace, Defence, or similar regulated industries, developing solutions to real-time mission critical products such as actuators and pneumatics.

My client is offering an attractive salary of between £45,000-£55,000 Per Annum plus an array of other benefits including half day on a Friday, Private medical insurance, bonus scheme, flexible working and much more.
