Join Our Client as a Senior Process Optimisation Engineer

Our Client operates within the manufacturing sector, specialising in the development and production of high-quality medical products in Kiel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of process changes with suppliers, assessing technical impacts to uphold quality standards.

  • Investigate deviations in production and take corrective actions to maintain process stability and product integrity.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support the evolution of manufacturing processes at supplier sites.

  • Manage complaint handling and rework processes, implementing corrective and preventive measures in partnership with quality and manufacturing teams.

  • Serve as a central communication point across production, planning, development, and quality departments to facilitate seamless cooperation and operational excellence.

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other optimisation methodologies.

  • Conduct root-cause analyses and data-driven assessments to enhance process performance and reduce inefficiencies.

  • Support digitalisation and automation opportunities to streamline manufacturing and supplier workflows.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop process documentation to ensure transparency and traceability.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or a closely related discipline (e.g., mechanical, medical technology, production, industrial engineering, or mechatronics).

  • Excellent communication skills in German, both spoken and written.

  • Good English, both spoken and written.

  • Demonstrated reliability with the ability to prioritise effectively under dynamic circumstances.

  • Strong analytical and statistical abilities, with experience interpreting complex process data.

  • Proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation tools.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in implementing process optimisation within regulated or medical-related industries.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process challenges.

  • Familiarity with quality management systems, including handling of deviations and CAPA procedures.

  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving production needs and collaborative working environments.

  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and managing stakeholders at varying levels.

  • Knowledge of automation, digital manufacturing systems, or MES platforms.

  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks (Green Belt or higher preferred).
