My client, a well-established manufacturer in North Lincolnshire are looking for a Technical Assistant to join their team.
You will be reporting to the Technical Manager and working with the Assistant Technical Manager on a daily basis to ensure information on product launches is made available and day to day tasks such as approving new product specs and reporting any non-conformances are completed on time as requested.
Additionally, in this role you will cover for QC in their absence, completing tasks like Customer complaints, microbiological sampling, upkeep of the approved supplier database as well as assisting with any 3rd party audits (e.g. BRC, Organic, Fairtrade Foundation).
The company is looking for someone with a Degree background and experience working in a Food manufacturing environment. Their ideal candidate is someone that can pick up new skills and new processes quickly, someone that is ambitious and wants to move up the ladder.
In this role you will gain experience in a lot of different aspects of technical management and they are keen on succession planning, so for the successful candidate it is the ideal opportunity to advance your career rapidly.
Essential skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of current Food Safety, Food Labelling and other relevant legislation
- IT Skills -excel, word and SharePoint
In return you will receive a salary circa. £26,000 dependant on experience.
